Last Sunday was Fred Perry’s 60th Anniversary event and i’m SO glad that i registered as RSVP like on the day that the Fred Perry Singapore announced it on their Facebook page.
The set up was really cool, it was held at the entire car park of the KTM and also the ticketing counter area. The last time i went to Tanjong Pagar Railway Station was like… Last year before they officially closed down. And it was to eat the yummy Ramly burger hehe. It’s sad really how a place filled with so much nostalgia in Singapore had to shut down. I personally haven’t been on the train before, though i’ve heard of many stories from my family and Sofea (who went to the event with me) about their train ride experiences. I was pleasantly surprised when i found out about the venue. What better was for a 60th Anniversary event being held at a historical location.
Event was part-curated street market as well and neat knick-knacks were being sold there. Sofea got herself socks and i got myself a neat-o Silver Express Polaroid camera and a green watch!! Super happy with my buys that day.
Highlight of the night was definitely Citizens! Holy hell do i have immense love for Brit bands hehe. Though my neck sorta hurts from constantly looking at them perform because i was right in front har har but damn did i and everyone else there enjoyed dancing to the tunes of Citizens! in the rain. That’s right. Nothing like going to a gig when it’s raining. Not like heavy downpour but sorta drizzles here and there. But still it only made the night more memorable.
I may not have the opportunity to take a photo or get the band’s autographs but DAMN dancing on stage with Tom Burke? *ticks that off the life list*.
Fantastic way to begin my December. :)
I actually have loads more photos from the past 2-3 weeks to post on my wordpress but i shall save that for tomorrow (or another day). In the meantime, you can follow me on Instagram cause i post quite frequently there. :)
